SELECTING A PRODUCT

Options for roofing materials can seem endless; however, getting answers to some basic questions can help you make a more informed decision:

Question: What kind of shingles are right for my roof?

Answer: Standard three-tab shingles typically last 20-30 years and generally differ only in color. Designer shingles add asthetic value and functionality to your roof. They are available in many different styles, textures and colors, and last up to 50 years.

Question: What kind of Manufacturer's Warranty should I get?

Answer: Most problems occur within the five years after installation. Look for a product that has a non-prorated warranty for current market value replacement during this period.

Question: How do I know if a roofing product is fire resistant?

Answer: Look for products that display the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Logo. These products meet certain standards for fire resistance.
